Janakpur is the provincial capital of Province No.2 . Province No.2consist of eight districts which is the smallest province of our country.it occupies an area of 9,661 sq.km which is about 7%  of  the total land area of our country Nepal. Janakpur is the capital-city of province No. 2 The climate of of this province is hot and wet. koshi tappu  wildlife reserve was Established in 1976. Koshi Tappu wildlife reserves has covered an area of 75sq, km.

In this, the province people are more energetic and they are also equally active in animal husbandry, tourism trade, and business which has a great contribution to the national economy.
